Going Giveaway Privacy Notice

Effective Date: September 26, 2026

This notice explains how Good Egg LLC ("Roost," "we," "us") handles your information for the Going Giveaway, a sponsored landmark event in the Roost app that runs from September 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET to October 4, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM ET. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which continues to apply. The giveaway itself is governed by the Official Rules.

1. Who is responsible

Roost collects giveaway entries, checks eligibility, and runs the random drawing. The giveaway is sponsored by Going, which provides and fulfills the prize. Going does not have access to Roost's systems or to entrant data, except the winner details described in Section 4.

2. What we collect

Sending a bird to the event and receiving its rewards does not require entering the giveaway. You can choose "Skip, just send" or "No thanks, just send" at any point, and we will not ask for your name.

  • Country: If you answer "Where do you live?", we record the country you choose to check whether you can enter. The giveaway is open to U.S. residents aged 18 or older.
  • Age eligibility: We check your age against the birthday already on your Roost account. We do not ask for your birthday again, and we do not share it with anyone, including Going.
  • If you enter: Your legal name (as you type it) and the email address associated with your Roost account.
  • Record of your agreement: The version of the Official Rules you agreed to, when you agreed, the app platform and version you used, and your IP address and device user-agent at the time. We keep this as evidence of your consent.
  • Participation: Whether your bird landed at the event, which determines whether your entry is included in the drawing.

If you are not eligible, decline, or skip, we do not store your name, email address, IP address, or user-agent for the giveaway.

3. How we use it

  • To check eligibility (country and age) when you enter and again before the drawing.
  • To make sure each person has only one entry.
  • To run a random drawing among eligible entrants whose birds landed, and to select alternates if needed.
  • To arrange delivery of the prize to the winner through Going.
  • To keep a record that you agreed to the Official Rules, and to prevent fraud.

We do not use giveaway entry information for advertising, and entering does not sign you up for marketing from Roost or from Going.

4. What we share with Going

Going receives only the winner's legal name and email address, and only after the drawing, so that it can contact the winner and deliver the prize. If the selected winner cannot be verified or does not respond, the same details for the next alternate may be shared. Going does not receive information about any other entrant. Once Going receives the winner's details, its handling of them is also governed by Going's Privacy Policy.

The Official Rules allow people to enter without the app, using Going's own entry form. Going sends Roost those entrants' email addresses (and names, if provided) so they can be included in the same drawing. We use that list only for the drawing and do not add those entrants to Roost.

5. How long we keep it

We delete giveaway entrants' legal names, email addresses, countries, IP addresses, and user-agents 30 days after the drawing. We keep a minimal record (your entry status, the rules version you agreed to, and the app version you used) to show that the giveaway was run fairly. Records about the prize winner may be kept longer where required for tax or legal reasons.

6. Your choices

  • Withdraw your entry: Email contact@roostsocial.app before the winner is contacted and we will remove your entry, including your name, email address, IP address, and user-agent.
  • Delete your Account: Deleting your Roost Account also deletes your giveaway entry.
  • Access and other rights: Your giveaway entry is included when you use Settings > Download My Data. You can exercise the other rights described in our Privacy Policy by emailing contact@roostsocial.app.
