Roost DMCA / Copyright Policy
Roost respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its community to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how Roost responds. It applies to all user-submitted content, including artwork submitted to Community Art Challenges and community bird skins.
Reporting alleged infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content on Roost infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (for art-challenge content, the bird, the challenge, and/or the skin or artist credit name shown);
- your contact information (name, address, telephone, email);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
In-app, the fastest path is the Report action shown on any submission, community skin, or artist credit (reason: "copyright / not their work" or "third-party IP"), which routes to our moderation team. A formal notice to the designated agent is still required for a DMCA takedown.

The name, organization, address, telephone number, and email address above are the same as those in Good Egg LLC's U.S. Copyright Office designation, which can be looked up by the registration number shown. Notices sent to any other address may not be effective.
How Roost responds
On receipt of a valid notice, Roost will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material. For art-challenge winners, this means disabling the minted community skin so that any player wearing it falls back to the official art, and, where appropriate, removing the entry's winner status. Roost retains the private license record and image fingerprints for the disabled item for legal defense and recordkeeping.
Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the designated agent including: your signature; identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your contact information; and your consent to the jurisdiction described by the DMCA. Roost may restore the material as permitted by law.
Repeat infringers
Roost will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, and may bar them from future Challenges.
Misuse
Knowingly submitting a materially false notice or counter-notice may result in liability under applicable law.
